Eva Fernández (sax and vocals), Josep Munar (guitar) and Jordi Pallarés (drums) are three musicians who met during their music studies in Barcelona. They play traditional Swing music, focusing on their goal of making their public dance.

La Locomotora negra

Friday – Casino

Founded in 1971, La Locomotora Negra, an iconic jazz band in Catalonia, will transform the casino Aliança del Poblenou into a small New Orleans through their impeccable interpretation of classic jazz.

In the beginning, it was formed by a quintet of musicians, which has grown into a Big Band by incorporating new talented performers. Lead by the legendary trumpet player Ricard Gili,  the original founding member, they now have 17 members, which include trumpet players, bassists, trombone players, saxophonists, drummers, guitarists and a pianist.

More than 45 years of musical experience have produced 17 records and live performances that transport people to the old tunes of Dixieland, swing and jazz.

A ten-musicians band with two main vocals (male and female), two choirs, 
 clarinet, trombone, trumpet, sax, guitar, banjolele, banjo and drums, who play the most danceable and fun Swing music.

SwingOut! offers a wide repertoire of Jazz standards, Blues and Neoswing.

The band formed in Terrassa on 2013 and since then they haven’t stopped performing, always with one goal: make you dance, sweat… and most of all, make you have a good time, no matter if you are a dancer or not.

The Black Mambas mission is taking Swing, Soul and other black music styles where they have never been before. The words to describe this diverse and eclectic musicians ensemble are easy to find: High-voltage Swing, danceable at its core, with the catharcic spirit of the best Gospel choirs and the best Rock’n’Roll bands. An scenographic flash that won’t leave anyone indifferent, with the sound quality that only a great Jazz band can offer.
